She earned her medical degree as valedictorian from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, after completing her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University and a Master of Journalism at the University of North Texas. Dr. Rhodes completed her dermatology residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, where she served as chief resident. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Travis County Medical Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and has been recognized as a Texas Super Doctor and a Top Doctor by Austin Monthly Magazine multiple times. Dr. Rhodes also volunteers her time as faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Austin Dermatology Program.

FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation), also known as the "strip method," involves surgically removing a narrow strip of scalp from the donor area, typically the back of the head. The strip is then carefully dissected under a microscope to separate individual hair follicles, which are implanted into the recipient areas.
