Dr. Edward Maitland Ball is a distinguished hair transplant surgeon who founded The Maitland Clinic. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons and has a robust background in cosmetic medicine, general practice, and plastic surgery, including extensive experience in microsurgery and dermatology. Dr. Ball honed his skills further with a Fellowship in Hair Restoration Surgery in Beverly Hills, California, under the mentorship of Dr. Craig L. Ziering, and later served as Clinical Director for Ziering Medical UK. He is recognized for his meticulous attention to detail and artistic approach, achieving natural-looking results, and has been described as a "true artist" in the field. His work has been published in numerous respected medical journals, and he is a frequent lecturer on hair restoration techniques both in the UK and internationally. Dr. Ball's commitment to advancing hair restoration in the UK led him to become one of the first patients to undergo FUE hair restoration using the ARTAS® Robotic System, providing him with a unique patient perspective. He holds numerous professional memberships, including being a Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and a Diplomate and examiner for the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.
