Dr. Russell Knudsen
Dr. Russell Knudsen is a highly experienced hair transplant surgeon who has been practicing full-time since 1984, performing over 10,000 hair transplant surgeries. He is recognized as a world leader in hair restoration and is known for being at the forefront of new technology. Dr. Knudsen holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) from the University of New South Wales (1978). His professional credentials include being a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS), a Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (FISHRS), and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine (FACCSM). Dr. Knudsen has held significant leadership positions, serving as the Past President of both the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine (ACCSM). He has been honored with prestigious awards for his contributions to the field, including The Manfred Lucas Award from the ISHRS in 2014 and the Golden Follicle Award in 2000. Additionally, Dr. Knudsen has authored scientific articles and contributed to two medical textbooks on hair transplantation. He was also the first doctor in Australia to offer the ARTAS hair surgery robot.
