Dr. Lawrence Fremont
Dr. Lawrence Fremont graduated from the University of Toronto with degrees in science and medicine. He was on staff at two Toronto hospitals from 1966 to 1985, where he provided emergency medicine and maintained a busy general practice. Dr. Fremont developed his own artistic techniques for hair restoration, drawing from his extensive experience in medical and surgical trauma. He was an early member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and began teaching his hair restoration techniques to other physicians internationally. Dr. Fremont also served as an investigator for Merck Pharmaceuticals for the drug Finasteride and is an active member of the Canadian Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons. He has lectured at professional colleges and hospital rounds for plastic surgery residents, and he was recognized by the outgoing ISHRS president for the training he provided. In addition to practicing in Canada, Dr. Fremont also held a medical license in Israel starting in 1987, where he opened the first hair transplant clinic in that country, and later established satellite clinics in several other countries. He continues to teach physicians his hair transplantation methods.
