Dr. Amiya Prasad
Dr. Amiya Prasad is a highly experienced and accomplished cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon with over 30 years in practice. He earned his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed his specialized surgical training at institutions including Beth Israel Medical Center, Brookdale University Hospital, The University of Texas Medical Branch, and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Prasad is a Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, holding certifications in Facial Cosmetic Surgery, Body, Breast and Extremity Surgery, and General Cosmetic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Prasad is recognized for his innovative work in hair restoration, including the development of The Hair Regeneration System, and for his expertise in complex oculofacial plastic surgery, earning him the designation of a Certified Cosmetic Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon, a title held by fewer than 500 doctors worldwide. He has been acknowledged for his artistry with an "Arty Award" from the Long Island Arts Council and a citation from the Nassau County Legislature. Dr. Prasad also holds a faculty position as an Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical School and teaches at other medical institutions.
