Timothy Carman, M.D. practices hair restoration in La Jolla, having joined La Jolla Hair Restoration in 2003. After surgical training in general and trauma surgery and later in plastic and reconstructive surgery, he narrowed his practice to procedures of the head and neck and, more specifically, to hair transplantation. He works alongside Dr. William Reed at La Jolla Hair Restoration Medical Center, using conservative design patterns intended to keep long-term results natural.

**William Reed, MD**, is a highly experienced physician with a strong educational foundation in the medical field. He earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Rochester, followed by postgraduate studies in Anatomy at Washington University. Dr. Reed completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where he also finished his General Surgery residency. He further honed his expertise with an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Duke University, where he served as Chief Resident and was also a Flight Surgeon in the USAF. Dr. Reed is double board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Upper Extremity Surgery, with additional subspecialty certification in Surgery of the Hand. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive spine surgery and artificial disc replacement, and is recognized as an educator, teaching new techniques to surgeons nationally and internationally. His career, which began in 1983, includes building hospitals and spine surgery programs, and he holds an MBA from Washington University. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.
