FUE
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a small circular punch tool. Dr. Carlos Portinha graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Porto and specialized in General and Family Medicine. He holds specialized academic training in FUE Hair Transplant from the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), of which he is a member, and is also a member of the EHRS – European Hair Research Society. He earned his medical degree from the University of Salamanca and further specialized in Dermatology at the University Hospital Puerta de Hierro, and in Aesthetic Medicine by the Official College of Physicians of Madrid. He is recognized for his expertise in scalp pathology and hair transplantation, and has held academic positions, including Associate Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid.
