Dr. John P. Cole

John P. Cole, MD is the founder of Forhair and performs hair transplant surgery at the clinic's Atlanta, Georgia location and its Midtown Manhattan location. He developed CIT® (Cole Isolation Technique), a variation of Follicular Unit Extraction, and his work covers FUE, unshaven FUE (C2G), body hair transplantation, strip (FUT) surgery, scar grafting, and hair transplant repair, including plug removal and redistribution. He began working in follicular unit hair transplantation and microscopic dissection in 1990, started teaching FUE to other physicians in 2003, and continues to oversee training in CIT® and other procedures, alongside research in regenerative medicine for hair loss.

FUE
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a small circular punch tool. The harvested follicles are then carefully implanted into the balding or thinning areas of the scalp. This method leaves tiny, nearly invisible scars rather than a linear scar, resulting in faster healing and the ability to wear shorter hairstyles. Because of this, FUE is the most popular hair transplant technique today.
