He earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in 1990, graduating in the top 4% nationally on his medical board exams. Dr. McAndrews completed his dermatology residency at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles County Medical Center, where he was also Chief Resident. His extensive professional experience includes serving as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force and holding positions such as Past-President of both the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. FUE
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a small circular punch tool. The harvested follicles are then carefully implanted into the balding or thinning areas of the scalp.
