He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in the USA, where he also pursued his doctoral and post-doctoral studies. Dr. Thomas completed his residency and fellowship training in General Surgery, Facial Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Cosmetic Surgery at prestigious institutions in Philadelphia, USA, including Allegheny University, Mount Sinai/New York University Hospital Health System, and Hahnemann University Hospitals. His extensive professional background includes serving as a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and as a Visiting Scholar at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Thomas has also held the position of Former Chairman of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and Orthopedic Institute in New York. He has received numerous accolades, including the Rajiv Gandhi Award for Excellence in 2002 and awards for excellence in cosmetic surgery from the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in 2006, 2011, and 2017.
