The clinic has been operating since 2009 and offers tailored combinations of these methods to address individual client needs. They also provide eyebrow transplantation services. Dr Bertram Hair Transplant is recognized for its extensive experience and dedication solely to hair transplant procedures, distinguishing itself as a significant surgical team in the field within Hong Kong.
The clinic emphasizes a personalized approach, offering detailed consultations and assessments to discuss concerns and plan procedures. They provide a portfolio of before-and-after results and client testimonials to showcase the outcomes of their work. For those considering their services, they offer a free assessment via WhatsApp, allowing potential clients to get preliminary advice without an immediate in-person visit. The clinic also maintains high standards with international accreditations, such as ISO 9001:2008, and ensures their staff stays updated with the latest developments through overseas training and seminars.
While many clients express satisfaction with their results, some online reviews suggest varied experiences. One review noted concerns about the unnatural appearance of a hairline and a missed spot after a procedure, along with perceived unprofessionalism during a follow-up consultation. However, the clinic has also been praised for its specialized services and the professional demeanor of its doctors. It is important for potential patients to conduct thorough research and consider all feedback when making a decision.
Procedures Offered
FUE
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a small circular punch tool. The harvested follicles are then carefully implanted into the balding or thinning areas of the scalp. This method leaves tiny, nearly invisible scars rather than a linear scar, resulting in faster healing and the ability to wear shorter hairstyles. Because of this, FUE is the most popular hair transplant technique today.
FUT
FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation), also known as the "strip method," involves surgically removing a narrow strip of scalp from the donor area, typically the back of the head. The strip is then carefully dissected under a microscope to separate individual hair follicles, which are implanted into the recipient areas. While this technique leaves a linear scar that requires longer hair to conceal, it allows surgeons to harvest a large number of high-quality grafts in a single session, making it cost-effective for patients needing extensive coverage.
