Asmed Hair Transplant Clinic is a hair transplantation center in Istanbul where procedures are performed using FUE techniques. The first day covers photography, a consultation and examination in which the scalp is studied under magnification and hair density, hair diameter, and donor capacity are measured, along with blood analysis, an electrocardiogram, a review by an anesthesiologist, shaving of the hair, and hairline design; surgery follows the next day. Grafts are extracted manually with punches ranging from 0.6 mm to 0.85 mm, stored chilled in Custodiol, and placed into pre-made lateral slit incisions with the K.E.E.P. Patients receive post-operative instructions and an after-care kit, and return to the surgical center the following day for a hair wash and check-up.

Dr. Koray Erdogan

Dr. Koray Erdogan is a highly experienced hair transplant surgeon who graduated from Hacettepe University's Faculty of Medicine. He began his medical career in thoracic surgery at Marmara University before dedicating himself to hair transplantation. In 2001, Dr. Erdogan founded his own clinic, ASMED Surgical Center. He is renowned for developing the "Sequential Technique" in 2004, an FUE system that has been presented and validated in numerous international congresses and workshops. Dr. Erdogan is a member of several professional organizations, including the European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ESHRS) since 2005, the Italian Society of Hair Restoration (ISHR) since 2010, and the International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons (IAHRS) since 2013. He also co-founded the World FUE Institute in 2016 and served as its president from 2018. His work has been featured on CNN International and in National Geographic Explorer programs, highlighting his innovative contributions to hair transplantation.

FUE
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a small circular punch tool. The harvested follicles are then carefully implanted into the balding or thinning areas of the scalp. This method leaves tiny, nearly invisible scars rather than a linear scar, resulting in faster healing and the ability to wear shorter hairstyles. Because of this, FUE is the most popular hair transplant technique today.
