Dr. Erkan Demirsoy is a highly experienced hair transplant surgeon with approximately 22 to 25 years of practice in the field, beginning his work in Istanbul around the year 2000. He transitioned from the FUT technique to the modern FUE method in 2005, and he personally handles all critical aspects of the procedure, including hairline design, graft extraction, and the creation of recipient sites, emphasizing meticulous and slow work for natural results. Dr. Demirsoy is a member of The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and also belongs to the Turkish Doctors' Union (TTB). His education includes graduating from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine and completing specialized training in chest diseases and chest surgery, as well as medical aesthetic application training. FUE
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a small circular punch tool. The harvested follicles are then carefully implanted into the balding or thinning areas of the scalp. This method leaves tiny, nearly invisible scars rather than a linear scar, resulting in faster healing and the ability to wear shorter hairstyles. Because of this, FUE is the most popular hair transplant technique today.
