Dr. Hakan Doganay

Dr. Hakan Doğanay, born in Istanbul in 1969, is a highly respected hair transplant surgeon who graduated from Selcuk University's Faculty of Medicine in 1993. With over 20 years of experience, he founded the AHD Clinic in 2003 and has become a pioneer in Turkey for advanced techniques such as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and DHI (Direct Hair Implantation), even introducing the pen implanter technique to the country. Dr. Doğanay has served in various medical roles within the Turkish government, including as Regional Chief Physician, before dedicating himself fully to hair transplantation in 2009. FUE
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a small circular punch tool. The harvested follicles are then carefully implanted into the balding or thinning areas of the scalp. This method leaves tiny, nearly invisible scars rather than a linear scar, resulting in faster healing and the ability to wear shorter hairstyles. Because of this, FUE is the most popular hair transplant technique today.
